Tomorrow’s Technology Leaders: The 20 Twenties

Tomorrow’s Technology Leaders: The 20 Twenties

The 20 Twenties Awards, sponsored by Aviation Week Network in collaboration with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), recognize students from around the world based on their academic performance, civic contribution, and research. The program brings together students, faculty, and hiring managers to recognize the next generation of aerospace leaders.

Lin Rossmann

Lin Rossmann was a 20 Twenties winner in 2019. She has been part of two field teams working at Argonne National Laboratory, and spent summer 2017 conducting research in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as part of the IRES program. She is spending her final year conducting research on thermal barrier coatings at DLR, supported by a Fulbright award.

Estefania Bohorquez

Estefania was a 20 Twenties winner in 2018. She joined the lab as part of her participation in the IRES program in 2017, and has been researching failure mechanisms in thermal barrier coatings in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She has also been awarded a Fulbright fellowship and an NSF graduate research fellowship.
