Ashley and Greg spend summer at Boeing Seattle as part of NSF GOALI Research
Ashley and Greg spent this summer conducting experiments for our research at the Applied Physics Laboratories in Boeing Seattle with the guidance of our collaborator Ms Hong Tat. These experiments are part of our ongoing NSF funded GOALI Research on “D
eveloping piezospectroscopic adhesives and coatings”. The team brought with them our UCF-designed and integrated portable spectrometer system to collect piezospectroscopic measurements on samples under mechanical loads. This summer, faculty mentors Dr Raghavan and Dr Schülzgen took the opportunity to visit the site and meet with Boeing researchers. The results of their successful experiments will be presented at upcoming conferences.
