LEARN Students Obtain Hands On Experience

The LEARN Program at the University of Central Florida introduces freshmen students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) research and provides a hands on experience to challshapeimage_25enge and prepare incoming students for both their academic and professional careers. Jennifer Santana and Jorge Torres [pictured on right] have been in the LEARN Program since the Fall of 2013, where they have learned the fundamentals of spectroscopy and its application for non-destructive testing in Dr. Seetha Raghavan’s Laboratory. Their Graduate Mentor, Albert Manero, has been quite excited by the progress they have made in such a short amount of time .
